Tool Talk! Foot Pedals for Your Flex Shaft

How, oh how, can a foot pedal make so much of a difference in your jewelry-making life?

Change your foot pedal, change your life

This week on Tool Talk, my most favorite tool – the Lucas Foot Pedal.

Watch me compare the action on this foot pedal compared to the foot pedal that comes standard with most flex shafts. If you plan to do a lot of stone setting, or wax carving and lathing, this foot pedal has more supple and sensitive movement and eases its way from zero to 60.

This is one of those jewelry tools that makes a subtle yet significant difference in your everyday jewelry-making

Fun fact that I only recently learned – when the owner of this company passes or decides to retire, the foot pedals may not be made again.

It is a sturdy pedal too – I have one that I purchased new about 7 years ago and one that I purchased used that was already 30ish years old – both work equally well.

A decent foot pedal for your flex shaft can make the biggest difference when doing tasks like flush setting, pave setting, or casting clean up.

I don’t take any payment for talking about this product, I just really, really love it.
